The shady figure entered the carnival grounds, her shadow creeping up on her as he casual steps slowly took place. Her bright, sky blue eyes scanned the surroundings of the busy carnival. Of all her twenty two years on the planet, she had only been here a few times, and the memories were vague. She hadn’t been here since she was about eight years old, her family believing that this place brought bad omens.
But things had changed. Her family had no say in her life anymore, all of them running off on her, believing that she only brought curses and the evil demons, which seemed to match her personality. She smiled as she glanced at the strangers, slightly baring her enlarged teeth, especially the front two fangs. They would all better watch their backs if they wished to stick around at night time. She was fairly bloodthirsty lately, the lack of blood in her diet had taken its toll. That was another reason for her occurrence, hope for a good meal. And the livestock that roamed these cheery plains was fairly strong. It was like a heaven for vampires, and she was one of the lucky souls who had been given the gift of red liquid in its mighty gallons.
Glaring pupils stared at the sky, its shade of blue matching her irises, leaving her wondering whether she was always meant to soar through the sky. Of course, she only ventured there in night, her body couldn’t stand the heat for too long. She was currently standing in the shade of a tree, her pale skin being mainly covered by thin, black clothing, only her face not being protected, bearing her glowing eyes and her ironically blood red lips. Her blonde, short hair also showed, strand by strand flowing gracefully from the top of her head.
Pink fairy floss and pale yellow popcorn scattered the floor like the debris of a forest floor. The littered ground of the carnival must have made the job of the janitor all that much more harder and annoying. She could picture the frustrated mortal picking up the discarded boxes and sticks, and shoving them into a big black garbage bag without a second thought or care. She smiled at the thought, her evil imagination thanking her for the path she had taken. She needed no job as money could not buy her the food or necessaries she needed for survival. All that was provided by the veins in a human’s elegant neck.
She started to wander through the carnival, through the shade of the stalls tops, making sure no rays could seep through and touch her white flesh. She would not be burnt today, a singe in her skin could be a life or death matter, and she didn’t want to let her prey know there was a hungry vampire on the loose. She could wreak havoc in seconds, but all good predators watch their prey quietly for some time before making the first move, or even striking, it was the golden rule. Like a lioness hunting a warthog, she needed time and precision. Focus was the key, without it, she would lose sight of her next meal.
She bowed her head down to hide her identity, not that many around truly knew who she was. She in fact, had not seen one friend or enemy, a relative or acquaintance. They were obviously in hiding, or moving silently along in the packed crowds. Thick, dense, bushes of people were always moving past her, chattering loudly amongst themselves, of course talking about foolish little things like, food and rides. Good, no one suspected a single thing. That was the way she liked it, her idiotic meals cluelessly bumbling around in their own little worlds, not noticing their surroundings, or any dangers nearby.
Fortunately for her, that was extremely exciting news. She could follow one into a dark place were few people were around, and then strike, sucking the life from their system. Sure, people would notice, but it wouldn’t cause a frenzy, and she could creep away quietly, without any hunters shooting her down. It was something she was used to doing now, as humans hadn’t exactly been keen on roaming the streets at night during the cold winter months. Spring had been better, but other vampires had regularly gotten to the foolish creatures before her.
Alyssa hadn’t properly eaten for quite a while now, and was weak, which was why she needed to pick prey that was unsuspecting. As long as a hunter didn’t get their first, she was fine. Her blue eyes glanced around again, an angry stare imprinted on her face. It was a serious matter now, she was hungry, she needed food. There were plenty around, one life wasn’t much. Being a vampire wasn’t that bad either. Converting was an easy task.
One of these fools would have to satisfy her needs today, anyway.

His hands drummed on his toy, his baby, his jet black 1967 Chevrolet Impala. The sunlight was pouring in through the open windows, catching the twinkle in his mischievous eyes. The tape blasting as he opened his mouth, belting out his favourite tune. “So look at me now, I'm just makin' my play, don't try to push your luck, just get out of my way.”
[/b] Dean Winchester, he pushed his foot down on the pedal; Ash had said word about this summer carnival that the town of Arlington had each year. Apparently a lot of freak deaths, yet each year the carnival would come, seven days a week, 8am till 3am the next morning. Surprising how such a cheerful place, all those children’s with high spirits, could be so damn ignorant to the obvious signs of danger. He pulled his car up along the dirt drive, the afternoon was growing late. The mirthful cries of the kids on brightly colored rides, opening the door, Dean hoisted his weight onto his feet, slamming it behind him. Dean slowly caressed the bonnet of his car, whispering gently to it. “Listen to you purr, be back shortly metallicar.”[/b] Metallicar, he had nicknamed it after his favorite band. Dean unlocked the boot, pulling out a shot gun full of rock salt he slipped it in the back of his jeans, just a safety precaution. This time he had no idea what he might be up against, if it was a demon it would hurt like hell… and if it was something else, well it would hopefully slow it down. Dean’s feet crunched over the debris below, he entered the carnival. Inhaling all the many scents around him, looking out for anything unusual but at the same time keeping his eye out for some good pie, it was only a matter of minutes before he found a pie vender. He walked up to guy; clasping the hot pie in his left hand he shoved some notes into the vender’s outstretched palm. But something had already caught his eye, a shady figure standing in the shadow cast by a tree. Her body covered in a thin black layer of clothing, pale blue eyes shimmering through, she was so pretty. Dean shoveled the meat pie into his mouth, chewing with his mouth open – a bad habit he hadn’t been able to break. His short legs lead his body over to her; he smiled his toothy grin, white teeth gleaming. Dean’s voice gently washed over, so rugged but at the same time so slick. “Hi, my names Dean, FBI”[/b] He pulled out his fake ID and flashed it at the lady, still wearing his cheeky smile. “You haven’t seen anything odd going on, no mysterious behavior?”[/b] Dean’s mind wasn’t really on the job, well in a way it was, but his mind was on a different job, ‘how to get this chick to pay attention to me’ sort of job. He touched his knuckle to his lip, wiping away the excess meat pie that had dribbled down his chin. What was this chick going to be like, would she be worth anything? The shade provided a nice, comforting place for her to relax. It was the only thing she could really do when the weather was this hot during the day. Running for cover may sound like a little bit of a wussy thing to do, but she didn’t exactly want to melt and create havoc on the scene. And besides, vampires were far from pansies. They were tough, intelligent, sneaky and conniving creatures. And also particularly sly, Alyssa was a very sly girl. She believed that reeling your bait in before you take them off the hook was the most important thing about attacking your prey, hunting in other words.
The sound of a loud rumbling car from the park made her jolt, shredding her thoughts into slim pieces. She quickly twisted her neck around to the direction of where it was coming from. “Just some dickhead in the car park,” she muttered under her breath, making sure no one was close enough to hear. She was still staring at the busy gates, where many ignorant humans were pushing through, then running away to their precious carnival rides. The most foolish and idiotic things seemed to amuse those retarded people, Alyssa thought, keeping her piercing blue eyes staring at the entrance, glaring maliciously at all that walked through.
A particular one caught her eye, a male specimen, about her age. He was a rugged bloke, handsome to say the least. Her first impressions from sight were that he was tall boy, short brown hair, perfect lips and those dreamy green grey eyes... she could see why most vampires turned into whores to convert boys like him. He appeared to be human, his lips were sort of moving up and down, baring no sharp teeth beneath, well large ones for that fact. He wasn’t a vampire as far as she could see anyway.
He appeared to be moving in her general direction, so she quickly twisted her head back to align it with the rest of her body. She was directed in the opposite direction. She wasn’t blushing like an innocent school girl however, and she did not like him more than a friend already, no she was not turning because of feelings, but simply because she didn’t want to be noticed by anyone, human or not. He could be a hunter for all she knew, and he could be out to get her. She clenched her hands releasing the sweat. So the vampire was growing a little nervous now eh? She secretly wiped her sweat on the front of her shirt, were no one could witness this small, disgusting crime. She relaxed, before words hit her head.
It was him, the handsome boy was speaking to her. How dare he! He wasn’t supposed to be. The stranger gave an introduction. Dean, sexy name. FBI, turn off. She gave a small sniff in the air, making sure that she hid her tracks by a clever disguise so he didn’t notice her. Fresh blood. Turn on. She smiled at him, when he asked if she had seen any danger around. Well him being here was a hazard, not for her of course. For Alyssa it was a delight, his arrival was like Christmas for an infant. Something to look forward too.
“Alyssa Liberta. Well handsome stranger, i can’t vouch for any mysterious activity going on,” she said before shuffling forward, grabbing hold of his shirt and pressing her body up against his. She would do anything for a feed now, anything for a drop of blood, a morsel, even a scrap. She smiled, gently waving her hair into his face. She started pulling him back with a strong force, but not strong enough that he couldn’t pull away. Just a tug, in the right direction.
“Well actually that’s a lie. I did see an FBI officer who was fooling around on duty. Right behind that tent there, with no one else around but his naughty mistress,” she said, enticing him, inviting him. She pushed her hips up against his, hoping to get him slightly aroused. If he didn’t she would probably just bite him right here right now. She was desperate for a meal after all, and she didn’t feel like wasting g time. It was just more convenient for her if this Dean character played along with her little game so she could mess up his neck in private, so no commotion was made.
She smiled at him, sort of in a rough and ready fashion. Miss Liberta hoped her dirty talking had worked like a charm, because if it hadn’t she may not get what she wanted. And for all the dumb ass’s, that wasn’t a root. She kept her hips in the same position, her body tightly pressed up against his. She would maintain this until he responded.
So come on soldier, what you waiting for?

One. Two. Three. Four. Maybe it was less drinks then that - maybe more. Alice couldn't really remember anything straight from where she was standing in the carnval - near some games that were for little six year olds, though she and some chicks she met at the carnival with her threw some balls at a hoop, went into this house of mirrors, daring to see who would last the longest without barfing. Of course, out of the four girls, Alice was going to be the last to barf. She'd barf in the morning. No doubt about that. She stood there, her vision blured as she looked at one of the girls she was hanging out with. Laurie, Layla....Lauren? Argh, whatever the shit her name was, they seperated from the rest of the girls and went off to go see if they could win a rabbit from one of these games. What carnivals did to drunk ladies? Ah, who knows? Well, actually, whoever happened to walk by Alice and Laurie-Layla-Lauren happened to know. Alice was a weird, crazy drunk, so people obviously ignored them and avoided them for their lives sake. Not that she cared - the carni's here just wanted their cash, they didn't care who stopped by. The rabbit-game failed, Alice and Laurie-Layla-Lauren couldn't manage to get the ring around the bottle, but the man let them hold a little white rabbit since they spent like, ten bucks trying to get one. Might as well gone to petco or something. The sheer pleasure of winning was the thing that kept people coming. Guess thats why they made the carnival. To get cash and to reel in kids and teenagers.
Alice and Laurie-Layla-Lauren went away from the rabbit-winning-game, turning up to see a boy. A boy that was seriously familiar to Alice, though she couldn't pick up on his name until he just randomly introdoced himself. Clyde. Of course, why else would he be here. He was handsome, the tall, muscular body. The blonde hair, the blue eyes. Smart. But, sadly, he was a ubsessive freak. More then those girls you see on TV, who write down when their boyfriends dont answer their texts or don't take their phone calls, and dissepear from home for hours at a time. Clyde was upsessed with Alice, in that freakish stalker way. Which is why Alice dumped him hard, teenage drama, and Clyde had always had something against Alice like she ruined his life forever and he would never forgive her until she was dead. Creepy, right? Alice and whats-her-name dashed off, but Clyde followed. Freak.
She silently cursed herself for dressing up nicely - for the carnival. If she dressed like cheap trash Clyde probably would have left her alone. But no, she decided to blow dry her hair, then curl it to give it a bit more curl. Wear her mascara that gave her eyelashes volume, wear her dark eyeliner, go out with her pink eyeshadow and dab lightly with her pink blush, then swipe on her clear, shiny lipgloss. Then go on with her dark blue skinny jeans, then just throw on a pair of pink-and-red rocketdogs, toss on a pink shirt with spaghetti straps. Ah, life's so hard when you try to look pretty. All guys had to do was throw on pants, a shirt, and a pair of sneakers and they thought they looked fine. But us girls, we went all out to try and look awesome. Though, actually, Alice was planning to go out to a club or something out of boredness sake. Its what you get for getting halfway there and you hear some slut talking to another slut about the carnival.
So, Alice and Laurie-Layla-Lauren swarmed into a group of teenagers in line of some ride that would make Alice want to go throw up even looking at it. Laurie-Layla-Lauren and Alice soon split though, seeing if they could confuse Clyde on who was who, which didn't work that well. So Alice had to be going around playing hide-and-seek for a while, before she actually believed she lost him. She started to walk backwards, kind of fast, making sure she didn't see them for a while.
And well. She ended up colliding with some guy, Dean, hitting off his shoulder and ending up falling to the ground, hitting her elbow on the tree.
"Aww, shit."
